Support Artists in Residence!

As we embrace the return to live theatre, the Artists in Residence team has been searching for a project that aligns with our vision of a safe and welcoming creative community centred on artists' mental health and well-being. We are pleased to share that we will be producing our first in-person show the first week of February 2022:
Small Mouth Sounds by Bess Wohl. The production will be directed by Artists in Residence co-founder Olivia Daniels, and staged at the newly-refurbished Red Sandcastle Theatre in Leslieville.
 
In Small Mouth Sounds, six strangers confront internal demons - both profound and absurd - while on a silent retreat in the woods. Filled with awkward and insightful humor, Small Mouth Sounds asks how we address life’s biggest questions when words fail us.
 
To help cover the upfront costs of our first live production, (including venue, performance rights, and COVID-19 safety precautions) as well as our commitment to paying our artists for their work, we humbly ask that you consider supporting Artists in Residence with a small gift. We are hoping to raise $4,000 to cover production costs, with any additional funding used towards future projects.

Your donation will go a long way in helping Artists in Residence achieve our goal of creating a safe and welcoming artistic community!  

To show our appreciation, all donors contributing $30 or more will receive a special hand-made gift [email redactado]ins. Additionally, all donors contributing $100 or more will receive two complimentary tickets to the show (or a video copy of the performance for those unable to attend in Toronto!)


Please note that while we are extremely grateful for any support, Artists in Residence is a not-for-profit theatre without charitable status, and will therefore be unable to provide a tax receipt at this time.
