UPDATE: I am so incredibly grateful for everyone’s immediate support and outpouring of love! Anything collected above my goal of $30,000, will go towards additional treatments, appointments, and ensuring I can rest calmly in recovery without any financial concerns.

I never thought I would be in a position where I am making a GoFundMe for myself; however, after some wise advice from those closest to me, I’m here asking my community and all those whose paths I’ve crossed for support.

In the past few months, I have been shocked, anxious, and very overwhelmed as I’ve learned that I will need to have surgery in the next five weeks.

What was manageable with medication has turned out to be a tumor that’s now impacting my pituitary gland. I am scheduled to have brain surgery to remove the tumor ASAP. The mass is not cancerous and is completely benign; however, the growth rate has shown that it creates a ton of side effects that are impacting my everyday life. The reason we need to expedite this to September, rather than holding off, is because the tumor is pressing up against my optic nerve and has begun to compromise my vision. As more time passes, the risk of irreversible damage increases.

I have already booked my surgery date and I have a really great neurosurgeon and ENT specialist who I’ll be working with. Beyond the cost of the surgery itself, I will be unable to move around or lift anything more than five pounds for four weeks following the surgery.

Your donations and support will help with the cost of the surgery itself (both doctors who will be working together to perform the surgery), the hospital stay, the cost of all the out-of-pocket expenses that haven’t been covered so far, as well as things like surgery prep and life expenses while I am on medical leave.

Any and all support is deeply, deeply, deeply appreciated. If you would kindly share this page with loved ones, I’d be so incredibly grateful, and it would definitely help put my family at ease. I appreciate you all taking the time to read this. If you made it this far, lots of love.
