Airelanna Nicole Perez, 14, of Meridian, Mississippi, passed away on February 11, 2026, after bravely fighting cancer. Born on September 16, 2011, Airelanna brought light, love, and laughter into the lives of everyone who knew her. She was a caring soul who could light up a room the moment she walked in, with a vibrant spirit and a heart full of love. Airelanna adored anything purple, had a passion for art, and loved dressing up to express her unique personality. She dreamed of becoming an FBI profiler one day, showing her curiosity, intelligence, and determination to make a difference in the world. She found joy in life’s simple pleasures — especially her morning routine of bacon, eggs, and coffee. One of her most cherished memories was celebrating her 14th birthday, when she rode in a limo for the first time and enjoyed a special trip to the salon. It was a day filled with happiness, laughter, and feeling truly celebrated. Airelanna is survived by her loving grandmother, Melba Howington; her grandfather, Joel Arias; her sister, Isabelle Perez; her cousin, Kaitlyn Immelt; and numerous aunts and uncles who loved her dearly. She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Terry Howington; her mother, Teri Ashley Perez; and numerous aunts and uncles. Though her time on earth was far too short, Airelanna’s light will continue to shine in the hearts of those who loved her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered. We are raising funds to help cover Airelanna’s final expenses and to support her grandmother and sister as they navigate this heartbreaking loss. Any support you can offer will help Airelanna’s family honor her memory and care for her loved ones during this difficult time. Your kindness and generosity mean so much to us. Thank you for keeping Airelanna and her family in your thoughts and prayers.
