In September 2023, I had the life-altering privilege of meeting Ainslee, who would soon become my housemate and friend. She and her two adorable little dogs, Henry and Breeze, moved into my home, bringing with them their healing energy and bright spirits into a too-quiet and lonely space following the loss of my son in May from a genetic condition, just two years after my husband’s sudden passing from cancer. Ainslee, a Bowen instructor and therapist, would soon shift her practice and classes from her office to our house. For me, the magic of meeting new people and making new friends began.

Over the past two years, I marveled as I listened to Ainslee’s many clients (including three members of my own family) share their stories of how she helped relieve their pain and heal their long-standing health issues. I include myself among those fortunate people. As an instructor, Ainslee revels in her students’ excitement as they themselves become successful Bowen practitioners. Her goal is to help make the healing art of Bowen available to all who need it.

Over the past two months, as her health issues emerged and her energy waned, Ainslee remained dedicated to her work. There was always one more person to fit into her busy schedule, be it Saturday afternoon or 7:00 p.m. on a Friday night, because they needed Bowen -- right up until the time she went into the hospital.

Now it is my turn to support Ainslee in her healing, not from grief, but from a very serious health condition. I hope you will join me in supporting her through this most challenging time. Together, we can help her to access needed therapies and medicines not covered by insurance, pay her portion of hospital expenses, recover from the loss of income when a healer’s own health prevents her from practicing, and ultimately, focus solely on her healing journey--as she would do for others.
