My mother, Aimee Decker, was recently diagnosed with stage 3 Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma a few months ago. For the last 3-4 months, she has had doctor's appointments back to back for multiple blood work and biopsies to fully diagnose where and how bad it is. It is in her neck and her groin. The doctors have given her an estimated 2-5 years left without getting any chemotherapy. It is an incurable blood cancer, so it will always grow back over time, but she is willing to try it one full go-round so she can be here longer with her grandbabies.

Her insurance, which she pays out of pocket for every month, just dropped her for “being too expensive” 5 days before she was supposed to have a chemo port put in to start her entire process. Without that, she can’t afford to pay house bills and medical bills both on top of it. We have looked into further help from other insurances and any medical help, disability, etc., and it’s just not plausible for her.
