Aileen Liptak was ready for a new adventure of van life, but her dream was cut short when she was diagnosed with Oral cancer and had her first surgery on 10/23/2025 to remove the cancer,followed by reconstruction surgery the next day. Aileen has been in the intensive care unit since that time. Due to the surgery, she has been unable to speak. Aileen currently must lay flat in bed and she can only talk through her notes on a whiteboard.

Aileen’s future is uncertain. She "should" be able to speak again, but that is not 100% and if so, it will be after radiation treatments and rehabilitation. Aileen had owned a popular coffee shop UNDERGROUNDS COFFEEHAUS for many years, bringing a safe space to everyone for a location to hang out in. She has continued to work for a dental office for many years while running the coffee shop.

Aileen will still be in the hospital for an undetermined amount of time and will need a lot of rehabilitation. Please donate anything you can to help her while she continues the healing.
