Hey y’all! I’m setting up this GoFundMe for my son, Aiden. He’s my joy and truly a light in this world—always smiling, making others laugh, and working hard for everyone around him. Every time his dad or I meet someone who knows Aiden, we hear funny stories about him or about his kindness and the absolute joy he is to them. People always tell us, “you guys raised a good kid!”

On Tuesday, March 24, Aiden was at work repairing a boat when it unexpectedly exploded, knocking him 3ft back and severely burning his right arm, hand, neck, and parts of his leg. We are so grateful he’s still with us, but he suffered 2nd and 3rd degree burns that required immediate surgery to remove damaged skin and graft donor skin to help him heal. He’ll be out of work for quite some time, unable to use his arm or hands until his skin heals, and will need another surgery soon to remove the grafts. He works two jobs, but neither provides insurance, so he’s facing serious medical bills on top of being out of work. He’s staying with us as he heals, both physically and mentally, after this traumatic event. Even in the hospital, he kept people laughing with his shenanigans! And again, his nurses told me, “you got yourself a good one there.”

I’m starting this GoFundMe in hopes that people will support Aiden not only with prayers but also financially, so he can focus on healing without worrying about money. Funds will go towards daily living expenses while he’s out of work, medical bills, therapy, and future treatments. If you can’t donate, please share this for us.
