My name is Rick, AKA PawPaw to my grandson Aiden. Aiden and I have always had a special bond. He is the most amazing kid in the world. But last year, he was diagnosed with a rare form of brain cancer. He is in a trial at St. Jude because it does not have a cure. We have all had a tough time trying to wrap our heads and hearts around this, but as always, Aiden shows us who he is at his core. This boy has never once complained about anything—all the needles, scans, tests, and radiation. If anything, he is more kind, thoughtful, and caring than before he was diagnosed. His community, pastor, and school have shown unbelievable support. We are so blessed to have Aiden with us still and are thankful and appreciative every day.

That being said, with Aiden’s health and all the appointments and travel back and forth, his mom, my amazing daughter, is not able to work and will not be able to work. Their bills are stacking up quickly, and they are really struggling. My daughter is such an incredible mother and has always found it very difficult to ask for help, even when she desperately needs it. Which is why I am starting this GoFundMe for her and her family.
