We are close friends of Aida, and we are setting up this page to help ease the overwhelming financial burden after the sudden and heartbreaking passing of her husband, Pano. Pano was a devoted husband, a loving father to two beautiful little girls, ages 4 and 6, and the sole provider for his family. In January, he was admitted to the hospital and diagnosed with AL amyloidosis and bone marrow cancer. For the past three months, he fought courageously in the ICU, surrounded by the love of his family and friends, holding on for the family he loved so deeply. No family is ever prepared for a loss like this. Aida has not only lost her husband and life partner, but her two young daughters have lost their father far too soon. These sweet girls will need endless love, stability, and support as they navigate life without him — emotionally, mentally, and financially. As if this heartbreak was not enough, Aida herself bravely battled colon cancer in 2024 and has only recently come through her own difficult fight for survival. After enduring so much physically, emotionally, and mentally, she is now facing the unimaginable pain of losing her husband while trying to stay strong for her daughters. During this unimaginable time of grief, we want Aida to be able to focus on healing, raising her daughters, and helping them through this painful loss without the crushing weight of financial stress. We are also hoping to honor Pano’s final wish to be buried in Greece. Any donation, no matter how small, will go toward funeral and transportation expenses, helping bring Pano home to Greece, supporting the girls, and helping Aida rebuild and care for her family in the difficult months ahead.
