My name is Margaret Smith, and I’m a long time friend of the Hearn-Rodriguez family in Austin, Texas. Their son Aidan is a 27-year-old student from Austin who relies on CapMetro every day to get to work and around the city because he is legally blind.
On March 13th, Aidan witnessed a passenger attacking another rider with a knife while riding the bus to work. Without hesitation, he stepped in and confronted the attacker, stopping the stabbing and preventing further injuries to the other passengers. In the process, Aidan suffered multiple stab wounds to his hands and leg. He now faces several surgeries and a long recovery ahead.
While Aidan is hospitalized and recovering, he will be unable to work. Please consider supporting this brave young man so he can heal without financial stress. Your contribution will go directly to Aidan to help cover his medical costs and living expenses during his recovery.
