I am reaching out on behalf of my close friends and their 17-year-old son, Aidan. Our families have grown up together — Aidan and his brother spent their childhood playing video games with my kids and running around our yards, forming a bond more like family than friends.
Aidan was recently and unexpectedly diagnosed with one of the most aggressive and inoperable forms of brain cancer. He is currently undergoing radiation treatments and participating in a clinical trial in an effort to slow the tumor’s growth, with a second trial already in place should this one fail. He is fighting with incredible strength and determination.
Aidan is an extraordinary young man — a top student who earned his spot at the number one high school in the state, and a talented musician who has learned multiple instruments both in school and on his own. His future was bright and full of promise before this devastating diagnosis.
His parents are hardworking and selfless people who are now missing work without pay to be by his side. They have not qualified for government assistance, and the medical bills, daily expenses, and the need for palliative/home health care are becoming overwhelming.
We are asking for support so this family can focus on what matters most: time with Aidan. Any amount helps more than words can say, and sharing this page is just as meaningful.
