Hi everyone! My name is Ahona Dias, and I’m Bangladeshi independent artist, musician, actor, dancer, writer, director, producer, designer, organizer, event planner, and so much more!

I’m incredibly excited to announce that I’ll be releasing my debut single, “WE TRIED,” on December 3, 2026, in celebration of my 25th birthday.

Some of you may know me from my time at SUNY Purchase College, where I earned my degree in Theatre & Performance, or through the community events I organize throughout NYC. Others may know me as the daughter of Tony Dias and Priya Dias, two longtime Bangladeshi artists and performers whose work across television, film, and the performing arts has inspired generations.

Growing up with artistic parents has shown me that a creative career requires more than just talent. It takes discipline, resilience, perseverance, and a community willing to believe in your vision.

Inspired by their journey, I’ve decided to follow in their footsteps and build a life in the arts of my own. I guess when creativity is already in your blood, there’s no escaping the drive to create.

And as I like to say: When you put two stars together, you get a superstar.

The Story Behind “WE TRIED:

“WE TRIED” is an alternative/pop-punk rock song about a relationship rooted in obsession disguised as true love. It explores the question many lovers might’ve experienced throughout their lives: “Am I in love with who they really are, or just the idea of who they can be?”

Our goal is to create more than a music video. We want to create a work of art that feels honest and raw, that will connect with anyone who has experienced the intense, addictive ups and downs of a relationship. WE TRIED is a reminder to those individuals that you aren't alone, as much as you may feel so.
