My name is Ahona Dias and I am a queer Bangladeshi independent artist, musician, actor, dancer, writer, director, producer, designer, organizer, event planner, business leader & more!

I am so excited to announce that this December 3rd, I’ll be releasing my first song ever, “WE TRIED” in celebration of my 25th birthday!! And to make the occasion even more special, I’ve chosen a team of 25 creative artists to collaborate on this project to produce a full length music video!

A little about the song & video:

What started out as a simple page in my diary has now become an entire artistic world of its own, something I would have never expected. It has truly been a dream come true, being able to create with others & share a piece of my soul with the world. Thank you.

“WE TRIED” tells the tale of a love story many may know too well. Where a love is formed through chemical obsession and disguised as true love. A love you can’t escape but still crave; A love you can’t let go but desperately chase. “WE TRIED” is for those who have spent countless nights feeling unloveable, hopeless & terrified, that they lose themselves in their love for others.

Our music producer, Deanna Fielding has truly outdone herself with the orchestration & composition of this piece. With its blend of 2000s pop punk melodies and angsty emo rhythms, WE TRIED takes inspiration from iconic influences such as Paramore, Evanescence, Avril Lavigne, My Chemical Romance, PVRIS, Green Day, Halestorm, Fall Out Boy, Linkin Park, All Time Low & so much more!

As for our music video, co-produced & directed by Jessica Cochran, we explore the intense stages of an unstable relationship, that those who struggle with their identity, insecurities & other mental health issues/disorders they may experience when in love. The script implements themes of heartbreak & obsession, with destruction & devotion. Our goal is to connect with the audience on a deeper level by creating a raw & vulnerable piece, reminding individuals that you are not alone in what you feel.
