On December 14, 2025, a terrorist attack at Sydney's Bondi Beach left at least 12 people dead and many more injured. Amid the chaos, Ahmed Al Ahmed—a 43-year-old father of two—risked his life to save others. Without any training or experience, Ahmed crept up behind one of the gunmen, tackled him, and wrestled away his rifle, forcing the attacker to retreat. His actions saved countless lives and drew praise from leaders across Australia, including the NSW Premier and the Prime Minister, who called him a hero.
In the process, Ahmed was shot twice by a second gunman and required emergency surgery. He is now recovering, but faces a long road ahead. Ahmed will need support for medical bills, rehabilitation, and to provide for his family while he is unable to work.
