An Update from Aharon..

"To start off, I’d like to thank everyone for their generous donations. My family and I are beyond grateful as the donations will all have a positive impact.

Subsequently, due to my A-level studies and training schedule, it has been very hard to work the equivalent part time hours to help fund for this great opportunity to proudly represent my country of heritage - Jamaica. Therefore, I’m humbly asking that if there is anyone who has not yet had the opportunity to donate, but would like to, it would be most greatly appreciated.

To be able to represent your country at this sporting level is of the highest honour for me and particularly as I’ve been playing rugby since the age of 4 and has been a massive passion throughout my life.

I would lastly like to say that when the time arises, the tournament will mean that much more to me and fuel my passion, as it would not have been possible without the generous donations from my family, friends and supporters"

Brief history: As many of you know, Aharon was previoulsy selected to represent Jamaica in rugby at the Tropical 7's tournamanet in Florida earlier this year. This was a great opportunity for Aharon to experience a high level rugby tournament. The Jamaica rugby squad at all levels is still heavily underfunded. And as such, not knowing when another opportunity would arise, we self funded Aharon to attend Florida.

Current: The UK based coaches held various trials across the UK to select a U19 team for the RAN tournament in Mexico City 2024. Aharon has now received a further selection following this trial. Last year the team finished in 2nd place to USA for the 2nd consecutive year. The aim this year is to go one better!

Aharon will need to raise £1,600 to cover his kit, flights, accommodation, meals and ground transportation.
