School Uniform for Academic prosperity and Excellence
Donation protected
In the rural villages of western Kenya, especially around the Lake Region, the impact of HIV/AIDS and deep rooted poverty has left countless children struggling to access education. Over half a million children have been orphaned, many left in the care of elderly grandparents or the kindness of strangers. Basic needs like school uniforms and learning materials remain out of reach for many.
Afya for Africa, through its Education Program, is working to bridge this gap by providing school uniforms to the most vulnerable children. We've already equipped our center with sewing machines and begun producing uniforms and sweaters. Our goal is to support 1,000 children by January next year, just in time for the new school term.
Your support can make this possible. Funds raised will go toward purchasing fabric, tailoring materials, and training local youth and women in tailoring empowering them with skills while ensuring the project's sustainability. Some uniforms will also be sold at an affordable price to keep the initiative going. Together, we can help these children stay in school and build a brighter future
