Support After Vic Karcich’s Brain Cancer Battle

Donation protected
With heavy hearts, on the 12th of May 2024 we share the passing of our deeply admired husband, father and friend, who courageously battled brain cancer for the past year and five months.

During this time, Victor had countless appointments, physical rehab stays, and unexpected hospital visits. His journey included two tumor sections, chemo and radiation, neuropathy, a brain bleed, infections, graph surgeries, partial lung collapses, a stroke, blood clots, etc. To say he was a fighter is an understatement.

Victor Karcich was a dedicated husband to Irma for 30 years and a loving father to their six wonderful children: Tony Diaz, Kristina Kelly, Amber, Victoria, Laura, and Alex Karcich.

Victor, over the course of his 63 years, was more than just a family man; he was the epitome of strength, love, and dedication. Over his almost 40 years of service to his country in the Air Force and career as a US Customs Border Patrol Agent, Victor was not only a colleague but also a mentor and friend to many. His guidance and support helped shape the careers and lives of those he worked with. He led by example, showing what it means to be a dedicated professional, a supportive mentor, and a compassionate human being.

At home, Victor was the anchor of the family, exemplifying what it means to be a loving husband and father. He was a role model to his children and grandchildren. He taught us the value of kindness, perseverance, and integrity. His unwavering support and love were a constant source of strength for Irma, their children and the grandchildren.

This devastating loss has left a profound void in our hearts and lives. As Irma and the children navigate this challenging time, we are reaching out to our community for support.

The funds raised will go towards:
  • Covering medical expenses accumulated over the course of Victor's treatment.
  • Cremation and memorial service costs to honor Victor’s memory.
  • Providing financial stability for Irma amidst adjusting to life without Victor.

Every contribution, no matter the size, will make a significant difference and is deeply appreciated. We also ask for your prayers and positive thoughts for the Karcich family as they go through this unimaginable time.

Thank you for your kindness, generosity, and support.

With gratitude,
Victor’s Children
