On November 24th, I underwent cervical spinal surgery, expecting a long but hopeful recovery. While I was in the hospital, my fiancé, two sons, and three stepchildren were on their way to visit me when tragedy struck. A man stole a vehicle and crashed into my family on Highway 83 in Parker, Colorado. In an instant, I lost my fiancé, my youngest son, and two of my stepchildren. My surviving son suffered severe injuries, including broken femurs, a broken hip, and fractures in his face and hand.

This unimaginable loss has changed our lives forever. I am unable to work due to my health issues and am now focused on caring for my injured son as we both try to heal physically and emotionally. After living in Colorado for six years, we made the difficult decision to move back home to Louisiana, where we are natives, to be closer to family and support.

We are asking for help to cover our living expenses as we try to rebuild our lives.
