On Wednesday, July 24th, our family was devastated by the sudden loss of Max Bishop, who passed away unexpectedly from a presumed heart attack (official cause pending). Tragically, Max was just weeks away from retiring. He and my mom were looking forward to traveling together and finally having the time to explore new places, experience new things, and simply enjoy life together. Instead, my mom is now facing an unimaginable new reality without him.

Max was more than just a husband, father, and stepfather—he was a big-hearted, funny, generous man who could light up a room with his humor and warmth. He was the kind of person who always made you feel seen and loved, and his absence leaves a huge hole in all of our lives.

Now, instead of stepping into a well-earned retirement together, Patty is facing the overwhelming reality of life without Max—emotionally and financially. The unexpected nature of his passing has left her in a tough position as she works to cover funeral expenses and adjust to a drastically different future.

We’re raising funds to help ease that burden: to cover funeral costs and help Patty manage bills and living expenses in the coming months while she begins to navigate this heartbreaking transition.
