Our family is facing an unimaginable tragedy. We are trying to raise $35000 to cover funeral expenses and legal costs after the loss of three lives.

My brother struggled with mental illness and had previously been diagnosed with schizophrenia. Despite serious concerns about his mental health, he was released from custody even after a mental competency order had been filed by a judge.

This tragedy resulted in the loss of two innocent lives, and later my brother also lost his life in an encounter with police. Our family is heartbroken and overwhelmed.

We now must arrange three funerals, including caskets and services, while also seeking legal guidance to understand what happened and whether this tragedy could have been prevented.

We believe the system failed our family — the state, the jail, and the court system — and we want answers.

We are asking for help to:
