Hello everyone my name is Denise and I am sharing my best friend Laura's Tragic story of loss. Laura is a Mother,wife and daughter. She suffers from CRPS also known as Complex Regional pain syndrome caused by an terrible car accident when she was hit by a drunk driver that nearly took her life several years ago. She has endured many ups and downs over the years due to her health issues caused by the accident including debilitating surgeries and pain. Through it all she has managed to be an amazing, caring, helpful and loving daughter and friend. Become the wife to the man she loved and a mother to a wonderful daughter who is now 14.
While life has its ups and downs nothing prepared Laura and her family for the tragedy that struck on December 6th 2020. Laura's beloved mother sadly passed away suddenly from a massive heart attack leaving her to care for her father who has suffered several strokes and has many other health issues as well. Through the heartache and pain over the past days Laura was tasked with making decisions she had never fathomed such as making funeral arrangements, organ donation decisions and how to cover the costs and getting the family finances and paperwork in order. All while being a mother and wife and trying to figure out how best to continue to care for her father. No doubt it was a difficult and heartbreaking task but nothing could prepare her for what lied ahead. Less than two weeks on December 19th 2020 after the sudden loss of her mother and while sorting through the confusion of her mothers papers she received a phone call that broke her soul. Her Beloved Husband Jon has passed away suddenly in his sleep! She and her family are devastated! Laura is now again tasked with arrangements, and trying to figure out things without two of the most important people in her life! Anyone who has suffered a close loss knows how hard it is to focus on the finances,the cooking, the cleaning and day to day of trying to figure things out. With two losses in under two weeks it is devastating, a huge financial and emotional burden and trying to navigate it all at once is so hard. Jon did not have life insurance that could help take the strain off his young widows shoulders so I am hoping that you can find it in your hearts to help ease that burden for a little while. It is my hope that by giving her some financial support to help stay afloat for a few weeks it will give her time to grieve without additional worry so she can focus on how to figure out this new dynamic of life from here.

We thank you all from the bottom of our hearts for your generous and loving hearts. We unfortunately have found out that the insurance we were told would cover a large amount of final expenses did not include the funeral costs. Therefore the coverage isn't much and the medical bills have mounded over coverage. In addition it now leaves Laura responsible for her mother's funeral expenses in full! She is in desperate need of help. Please continue to share and hopefully we can raise enough funds to help them keep afloat while they figure out the next phase in life and pay off the funeral expenses.
