On March 31st, at 18 weeks pregnant, we received the devastating news that our son had passed away. I delivered our sweet baby boy, Sterling Douglas Lee Robertson, on April 1st, 2026 at 11:45 PM. Immediately following delivery, I experienced serious complications due to retained placenta and nearly hemorrhaged. I had to undergo an emergency procedure and received blood transfusions. During this time, my fiancé Logan took a leave of absence from work to support me physically and emotionally while also grieving the loss of our son. He has applied for Paid Family Leave and emergency assistance programs, but those benefits have not yet been approved.
We are now facing urgent financial hardship, including overdue rent, upcoming rent, and essential utility and phone bills. While we wait for assistance to process, we are struggling to stay afloat. Any funds raised will go directly toward keeping us stable during this period of loss and uncertainty, and to help us create a small celebration of life for our son, Sterling.
We are deeply grateful for any support, whether through a donation or by sharing our story. Thank you for holding us in this incredibly difficult time.
