2025 was the most difficult year of my life: severe illness, chronic injury, a surprise pregnancy, a devastating miscarriage, the sudden end of my relationship, having to move while recovering from the miscarriage, and then continued post-separation harassment from my ex...

Then, right before Christmas, my sweet horse Sophie fell ill. She had sudden onset respiratory complications, and in a matter of 3 days, I had to humanely euthanize her due to her inability to fight the infection and rapid decompensation in spite of our best interventions.

As we all feel, financial times are tough, and this surprise emergency and subsequent loss caught me completely off guard. I've had to spend my savings on an attorney to get protection from my abusive ex, and I just don't have the funds to cover Sophie's medical expenses right now.
