I was approved for a loan of $5000 and I was thrilled because I so need it and desperation set in. I was in touch with a “very nice”woman and the contract looked legitimate etc. No problem right???? Since my credit score wasn’t high enough they asked for collateral. It was 4.5 months of payments that would go directly to the principal. As of Friday, March 6, 2026, everything was fine and I should get my money in 2 to 4 hours. Ha! Saturday, March 7, 2026 there was a “problem “ that when the assessed my application and credit again, they saw that I apparently applied to other lenders and in the contract it states that to proceed I needed to give them more for collateral. Another 4.5 months of payments. But the loan would be done today. So again desperate me needed the money so I went and sent it again. I dozed off for 2 hours and received an email that because of insurance being attached to the loan ( no idea) they had to stop the process to get that straightened out. She is in California but I still had 2 hours to fix this. I called 17 times and filled up her email. Nothing. I’m out $1600 which was all I had plus I never got the $5000 loan. I have $6 to my name and still have to pay rent, electric, TV, car payment and many more bills on top of those. I have taken the necessary steps to refund my money but it will take time. By then, I’ll lose everything. My home, my section 8, get evicted, lose my car and the list goes on. I was so desperate I fully believed her. I also contacted the police department in that city. I know I’ll get “how stupid can you be” from some but if you were in my shoes you’d do anything to try for a loan to survive in today’s society on disability only. You become unfocused, desperate, sleep deprived and edgy when you need this so badly. Im on a heart monitor and it keeps beeping when my blood pressure goes up along with my heart rate. I have congestive heart failure and atrial fibrillation and in December the AFib completely went out of control. Many hours in the ER stopped it. I’m supposed to have my paperwork done by March 10th for section 8. I have not gas to get there. I have no groceries. But I can’t go anywhere, no gas. I’m hang on by a thread. It was my tunnel vision that got me here as well as medically I’m drowning as well. Please don’t follow my example. I’m smart enough to know better but in my situation I was so wrapped up I had blinders on. I’m truly ashamed to ask for help and I’ve taken all the necessary steps to retrieve the money but I can’t wait 45 days. Anything is appreciated.
