My father was murdered and my brother was charged for it. This tragedy has turned my world upside down, and I’m struggling to find my footing again. The emotional and financial toll has been overwhelming, and I’m reaching out for help as I try to recover and rebuild my life.
I started at a very rough beginning. Where I lived had no running water, leaks, and often through winter a fire was our only way to keep warm. I was determined to have a better life, so I got a job, saved up money, got my GED, enrolled in community college and then transferred to university. Actually, a huge inspiration for my ambition was a book I read called Where The Crawdads Sing. I started renting near my school and I was happy my future looked bright. Until the tragic event between my dad and brother. A situation like this feels so unreal even as I live it, and I keep trying everyday to go on like my dad would have wanted.
One of the biggest challenges I’m facing right now is not having reliable transportation. Being able to buy a car would make a huge difference in helping me get a job when I graduate this May and start moving forward after everything that’s happened. Your support would mean so much to me as I try to regain some stability and build my future again.
I’d be grateful for any support, whether it’s a donation or just a kind word. Feeling alone can be devastating, but knowing that people care, even strangers, makes the world seem like a better place. Thank you for taking the time to read my story and for any help you can offer.
