I am facing a difficult chapter in my life due to disability and the sudden loss of my job. Over the past months, I have exhausted all my savings and resources just to keep up with daily living expenses. While I am in the process of applying for government assistance, the wait is long and the benefits may not be enough to cover everything. I have also tried to find a tenant for my guest bedroom to help with costs, but unfortunately, my efforts have only attracted scammers, adding more stress and frustration to an already challenging situation.

The funds raised through this campaign will go directly toward covering the debts I incurred before my abrupt retirement, as well as ongoing expenses such as insurance, water, gas, groceries, and the long list of typical household costs. Every contribution will help me stay afloat while I work to regain stability and self-sufficiency. Living with neurological and other disorders means that even daily tasks can be a struggle, and pushing myself often leads to increased pain and fatigue. Despite these challenges, I am determined to keep moving forward and do everything I can to improve my situation.

We are so grateful for the kindness and benevolence of our friends and family. I’m continuing to work hard on self sufficiency, however things just aren’t moving at my intended speed. It’s complicated by the limits imposed by my neurological and other disorders, requiring me to exceed my abilities. This challenge is a blessing/curse as I push to live my life more actively, at the cost of increasing pain and fatigue. The help of my friends and family are invaluable in reducing the additional stress of trying to get by from month to month. It’s last on my list of preferences, and comes with some negative feelings about my life and circumstances. But it also comes with love and deep gratitude, and these are beyond value.
