As many of you may have seen in the news or on social media, a devastating fire broke out on the St Leonard’s-on-Sea seafront early yesterday morning.
Sadly, that caravan contained absolutely everything my ex-partner owned, as well as many of our daughter's belongings. In an instant, his life's belongings, clothes, and irreplaceable memories were completely destroyed.
While we are incredibly grateful that no one was physically hurt, the emotional and mental toll of losing everything overnight is devastating. Being homeless means he now has to start entirely from scratch without a safety net.
We are setting up this fundraiser to help him buy immediate essentials—like clothes, shoes, toiletries, and everyday basics—and to help replace some of our daughter’s things. Any extra funds will go directly toward helping him find a stable, safe place to stay and get back on his feet.
We know times are tough for everyone, so if you cannot donate, please consider sharing this link. Every single bit of support, community kindness, and sharing means the world to us right now.
Thank you so much from the bottom of our hearts.
Estimated Cost Breakdown:
• £250 – Emergency clothing, winter coat, shoes, and basic toiletries to replace everything lost instantly.
• £200 – Replacing essential clothes, toys, and daily items for our daughter.
• £200 – Immediate emergency living costs (food, replacing a lost phone/SIM card to stay in touch, and essential travel).
• £350 – A small safety net to help toward temporary accommodation, a deposit, or initial costs to get into a stable living situation.
