Support Affan’s Fight Off the Court - Cancer Battle

Hi, my name’s Adeena Razzaq and I’m starting this fundraiser on behalf of my older brother, a 20 yr old with the purest heart, and a strong love for basketball. Since December 2024, he has been diagnosed with stage 4 Brain Cancer and since then, everything’s changed. Recently, things have gotten worse.

Affan is a gifted basketball player — strong, determined, and full of joy. It was his dream to reach the US and play for a team, he earned the D1 scholarship for the US with sheer dedication and love for the game. I saw it, we all saw it. Beyond basketball, he’s someone who brings people together. He’s able to spark a conversation with anyone and anywhere, Affan is the kind of person who can walk into a room full of strangers and leave with a dozen friends, all smiling. I’ve always admired how he’s able to cheer me, or anyone up no matter how he’s internally feeling inside. I’ve looked up to him since forever, and I’ll continue to do so. I could genuinely go on for hours on how much of a beautiful human being my brother is.

Despite all of his strong battles, ranging from surgery, to treatment, and countless hospital visits, he has never once stopped fighting. Our family is walking beside him, day by day, providing both support and love. But if you knew him — even for a moment — you’d understand why we’re fighting so hard to give him peace, comfort, and the love he’s given everyone else.

Any kind of support means more than I could put into words. Whether its a prayer/dua, donating, or even sharing this with others — this helps surround my brother, Affan, with the care and love he deserves.

This money will be used to navigate the unforeseen costs and challenges our family continue to face. Our goal and hope right now is to find ways to be present with Affan, instil hope and support him through the biggest battle of his life. 

This fundraiser is here to also spread awareness about how cancer affects many lives. May Allah (SWT) ease his pain and fill his heart with peace. Ameen.
