Our sweet niece Aevan is a fighter, but she has a long road ahead after undergoing major brain surgery. We’re asking for your help in supporting her and her family during this unexpected and difficult time. Your prayers, support, and donations mean the world to us.

On July 17, Aevan underwent a 21-hour brain surgery. Doctors were able to remove about 50% of the tumor, which was more attached to her brain stem than they had hoped. Thankfully, two key nerves were left intact, and we’re praying for full healing.

Since surgery, Aevan has been in the ICU. Her breathing tube was removed, and she’s slowly starting to receive nourishment through a feeding tube. She’s been confused and struggling to sleep, but with time and care, she’s starting to improve.

On July 21, Aevan began speech therapy to help her breathe, cough, and swallow better, these are difficult right now because the right side of her body is partially paralyzed. She is also starting physical and occupational therapy to regain strength.

We are still waiting for final MRI and lab results, and her neurology team is working on a plan for her rehab and recovery.
