Support FF- AEMT Zach Langford – Injured in the Line of Duty
On April 14, 2026, FF-AEMT Zach Langford was seriously injured while doing what he has always done—serving others.
While working for the local 911 ambulance service in Franklin County, Tennessee, Zach was actively providing patient care when the ambulance he was in was involved in a devastating crash. The impact forced the unit off the roadway, causing it to roll multiple times before coming to rest upside down.
Zach was thrown into the back of the ambulance during the crash and suffered severe injuries.
He was airlifted from the scene by Erlanger LifeForce and transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where he underwent extensive evaluation. Zach has been diagnosed with a fractured neck and is scheduled to undergo major surgery on the morning of April 15, 2026.
A Long Road Ahead
Zach was injured in the line of duty—while caring for someone else.
He is a dedicated AEMT, a committed public servant, and most importantly, a husband and father with a young family who depends on him. Due to the severity of his injuries, Zach is facing a long and difficult recovery. He will likely be unable to work for an extended period of time, creating significant financial strain on his family.
The road ahead will include surgery, hospitalization, rehabilitation, and ongoing care.
