Support Advocates for Science @ IU
We’re Advocates for Science @ IU (ASIU), a student-run group at Indiana University and the student affiliate of Concerned Scientists @ IU. Our mission is simple: to strengthen the role of science and evidence-based decision-making in our community, classrooms, and government.
ASIU brings students together from all majors to:
• Share science with the public and local schools
• Host forums and guest speakers on science and policy
• Encourage civic engagement and conversations with lawmakers
• Stand up for independent research and science funding
We collect no membership dues — we want every student who cares about science to be able to join. That’s why we need your support.
Your gift helps fund:
• Tech & operations: Zoom webinars, website, design tools
• Outreach: classroom kits, flyers, myth-busting cards
• Events: speakers, AV, captioning, and student-led teach-ins
• Policy engagement: transportation to the Statehouse, briefing materials
• Recruitment & visibility: posters, banners, tabling supplies
• Student mini-grants: support for small science communication projects
Every dollar goes directly to student-led work. $25 prints classroom materials, $100 captions an online event, $250 funds a student project, $500 brings in a speaker.
Thank you for supporting students who stand up for science with facts, creativity, and hope.
