Adrian, my best friend, was riding his bike home from an appointment when a truck hit him at 35 miles per hour. Since then, he has suffered a fractured femur, two fractures in his knee, and a fractured tibia. Even now, more injuries are still being discovered, and the full extent of what he is facing is still unknown.

Because of these injuries, Adrian will be wheelchair-bound for some time and will be out of work for well over three months. He is now facing a long recovery that includes physical therapy and learning how to walk again. On top of the physical pain and uncertainty, he is also worried about paying his bills, covering rent, and simply making ends meet while he cannot work.
