After more than a year of waiting, uncertainty, and putting life on hold, Adriana is finally receiving a kidney transplant. A life-saving moment our family has been praying for.

Adriana is many things to many people. She is a mother, a fiancée, a singer, a daughter, a sister, and a friend. She is someone who shows up for others even when her own health has made everyday life incredibly difficult.

Over the past year, kidney disease has slowed Adriana down in ways no one should have to experience. She’s had to miss opportunities and moments she deeply wanted to be part of, especially with her son, who is dedicated to competitive soccer and has traveled nationally and internationally for the sport. While she has supported him with her whole heart, there were times she couldn’t physically be there, and that has been one of the hardest parts of this journey.

This transplant represents more than healing. It represents hope, strength, and the chance to truly live again.

Following surgery, Adriana and her fiancé will need to remain in Kansas City, Missouri, for an unknown number of weeks for recovery and critical follow-up appointments. During this time, neither Adriana nor her fiancé will be able to work, and expenses such as temporary housing, travel, food, medications, and daily living costs will continue to add up.
