In December 2023, our amazing mom, Adriana, at just 56 years old, was diagnosed with a rare and challenging form of cancer known as Gastrointestinal Stromal Tumor (GIST). This diagnosis has come as a shock to our family, and while my mom’s strength and positivity have been inspiring, the road ahead is daunting and filled with uncertainty.

My mom has always been the heart of our family. She’s a loving mother, grandmother, and friend to many. My mom has always supported family and friends through tough times, or shared her warmth with everyone she meets. She’s always given selflessly. Now, she needs our help more than ever as she battles this aggressive cancer.

Despite the support of our family, the financial burden of treatments, medications, and related medical expenses is overwhelming. The costs for specialized treatment, regular hospital visits, and essential medications not covered by insurance add up quickly. These expenses, combined with the challenges of managing daily life, make this journey extremely difficult for our family.
