Support Adrian Cantero's Recovery

Hello, my name is Adrian Cantero, and for the last few months, I have been battling severe back pain due to a 15mm herniated disc in my L5-S1 vertebrae which is pressing on my sciatic nerve. Over the last four and a half months, the pain has escalated to the point where there are days I cannot walk due to the excruciating pain in my back and the shooting pain down my leg.

This debilitating condition has made everyday tasks nearly impossible and has greatly affected my ability to work and support myself. Before, I was running a small business called We All Ugly. The other half of my time was dedicated to helping incarcerated youth through Davids Harp Foundation. I was also a volunteer leader at YoungLife in which I'd mentor high school students. This situation has forced me out of work and out of the things I'm passionate about for the past two months due to the severity of my condition and will need an additional month of recovery after treatments to regain my mobility and strength. I am hoping that things will get better after my insurance authorizes the steroid shot procedure (similar to an epidural) but there is a possibility that I will need a follow up shot if the pain precedes.

Despite these challenges, I believe that this is just a season of life, and I have found renewed faith and strength in my journey. I know that this chapter of pain and suffering has produced new wine out of me. Suffering produces endurance and endurance produces character. Through this adversity, I have seen the efforts of my family and friends as they united to create a support system for me. Thank you Jesus for community.
