Hi family and friends,

I’m reaching out with a plea for help. Last week, my uncle Adolfo was arrested and taken by ICE agents while driving to work. In the process, they broke two of his truck windows before pulling him out. Thankfully, he is okay and we’ve been able to speak with him by phone. He is holding up as best he can, but his greatest concern is for his wife and two young children. They've never been apart like this before and simply want to be reunited.

Over the past year, Adolfo and my aunt have been working diligently toward gaining their U.S. citizenship. For more than 30 years, they have lived in America and proudly called it their home—working tirelessly to build a loving household and a good life for their family. They cherish simple joys like cooking homemade meals, going on camping trips, and playing board games together. Adolfo is a hardworking man, a devoted husband, and a loving father. He does not deserve to be torn away from his family or deported to a country he hasn't known in decades.

His wife and children are heartbroken without him, facing each day with fear and uncertainty. In his absence, my aunt has had to reduce her work hours to be more present for their children, while also managing the added burden of medical bills after my cousin recently fractured his leg and required multiple doctor’s visits and PT. These challenges have placed an even greater financial strain on the family.

Although an attorney has been assisting with their citizenship paperwork, the family cannot afford the overwhelming legal fees required for representation in court—especially with the painful reality that there is a high possibility Adolfo may not be released back into the U.S. Until his hearings, he must remain in custody, making this the first holiday season he will spend away from his family. Still, we hold onto hope that he will return home, and we are doing everything possible to support my aunt and cousins during this difficult time.

We are humbly asking for your assistance to help his wife and children. Any of your donations will go directly toward covering legal expenses, medical bills, and groceries—providing stability and relief while they fight for his release. Every contribution, no matter the size, will make a meaningful difference and offer hope to the entire family.
