Support Adolfo and Cristal battling cancer

In August 2021, Adolfo was diagnosed with a brain tumor causing his social life, job, & relationships to abruptly change. After a couple of surgeries, they couldn't remove all of the tumor so he continued with chemotherapy and radiation for about 2 years until the tumor became dormant. Adolfo's health slowly improved, allowing him to start working part-time and live a semi-normal life. However, earlier this month, we received the tragic news that the tumor is active again and more spots have been found. As a result, he has started chemotherapy again and is unable to work due to the intense medication and side effects of the treatment.
In April 2024, I was experiencing severe abdominal pain and bleeding. After speaking with a gynecologist, I was informed of a possible mass behind my uterus and an ovarian cyst that needed to be tested. After multiple scans, biopsies, and testing, I finally got the call on my 30th birthday that I indeed had cancer. They set me up with a plan and scheduled me to begin my chemo sessions at the Bennett Cancer Center. I underwent three intense chemo sessions, a total hysterectomy, and then an additional three rounds of chemo. I was told that was all I needed for my treatment and that returning to my normal life would be easy. After my surgery was completed (with only minor complications), and I completed my treatments, we celebrated by ringing the victory bell for completing my chemo sessions. However, in the post-treatment scan, they unfortunately still saw cancer in one of my lymph nodes; it had been growing the whole time. They referred me to a specialist at Yale New Haven where I’m currently undergoing a clinical trial for treatment.
With two incomes out of commission in our household, it has been extremely stressful for our family during these difficult times. If we could have one less stress and fewer bills to worry about, we would greatly appreciate it as we continue our battles with cancer.
