Support Adi's Recovery After Terrorist Attack
Donation protected
On the morning of January 1st, I was shocked to get news that amongst the innocent victims of the New Years terrorist attack on Bourbon Street in New Orleans is Adi Levin, my 23-year-old nephew, who is now fighting for his life confined in the ICU. Adi was enjoying the New Year’s celebrations with his friend when the attack occurred. He endured several devastating and life-threatening injuries, requiring extensive medical treatment and will need large amounts of rehabilitation.
Adi was on vacation in the states because he is on military leave from the war in Israel. He had been serving in the front lines of the war for a year from the October 7th attack. He came to the US to unwind, travel, and visit family. Unfortunately, his vacation was cut short with many injuries adding up to be intubated, have part of his skull removed to alleviate the brain swelling, a damaged carotid artery to the brain, seizures, a stroke, cut spleen, and many broken and fractured bones from head to toe by being struck by this terrorist's truck. He has already gone through a few surgeries and still has a couple more to come with much more therapy in the future.
His parents had to fly over from Israel and find somewhere to stay since Adi will not be able to fly home for a long period of time. We are raising funds to cover Adi’s medical expenses, ongoing care, and support during this challenging time and the long road they all have ahead.
Adi is a very loved son, grandson, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, friend, and soldier. He is full of life and dreams, and his humor and laughter are contagious. We all wish and pray to get our Adi back.
We humbly ask for your support in this time of unimaginable hardship. Your generous contributions will be greatly appreciated and make a significant impact in Adi’s recovery journey. Your kindness will not only help give Adi a fighting chance to reclaim his life but also show that love and compassion can triumph over hate and violence.
These funds will be used to help Adi with any continuing medical needs, home adaption for his disabilities, and living expenses as he won't be able to work for a long time. When he gets back to Israel he will be spending months in a rehabilitation center until he is strong enough to be on his own.
Thank you for your support,
The Levin Family
