Support Adina Walker's Road to Recovery

Donation protected
On July 12, Adina Walker went to the ER thinking she had pulled a muscle in her back, only to be told she had a kidney stone. She was prescribed meds and told to go home and pass the stone, and if she got worse, to come back.

Saturday, she was worse and went back to the ER. She was in septic shock, and the doctor told family and friends he gave her a 20% chance of surviving. Adina was in ICU where they took her into the operating room for surgery. Unfortunately, her lung collapsed, her heart went into failure, her platelets dropped, and her BP dropped to zero twice. She was put on pressers due to low BP (to save major organs), which causes blood loss, circulation issues, and lack of oxygen to extremities. A brain bleed followed, and she was airlifted to the Medical Center to Trauma ICU.

Finally, she woke up after 7 days of unconsciousness, only to find her hands and feet were black due to the pressers she had been on, but she was alive!

On August 13, she had her first amputation on her feet, and 3 more surgeries would follow due to infection. She is now a bilateral amputee. She has a long road of healing, learning to walk again once she obtains prosthetics, and is still battling kidney problems.

After so many have reached out asking how they could help, this GoFundMe was created to help Adina with medical and unforeseen expenses during this difficult time. Please pray for her healing and recovery as well as the strength and comfort to manage losing two limbs. Life-altering for the remainder of her life, but we know she will fight and become stronger. May God bless each of you for your prayers and kindness.
