Hi, I'm Adia Jackson, a sophomore Sociology major at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, and I'm saving up to study abroad in Rome, Italy this summer.

Unfortunately, LMU is not offering financial aid for my summer opportunity, so I'm taking matters into my own hands and raising funds on my own. I don't see this trip as just about travel. I'll be taking two college courses while fully immersing myself in a culturally rich city.

This will be my first time traveling alone, and I know it will challenge me, stretch me, and shape the way I see the world and the people in it. I'm so grateful for the support my family has given me throughout my education, and now I want to show that I can take this next step on my own. All funds go towards room & board, tuition, and funds for cost of living.
