Support Adeline's Fight Against Colorectal Cancer

Hi everyone,

I’m reaching out with a heavy heart to ask for your support for my sister, Adeline, who is facing a tough battle against colorectal cancer. At just 25 years old, Adeline is already a dedicated Registered Nurse in the Neuro Intensive Care Unit at Dartmouth Hitchcock and has spent most of her career helping to care for both animals and humans. She is a kind-hearted, compassionate, brave, adventurous spirit who enjoys hiking, skiing, horseback riding, and spending time with friends, family and her dog, Daphne.

Recently, Adeline received the heartbreaking news that she has been diagnosed with colorectal cancer. After a colonoscopy and biopsy, the doctors discovered a mass in her rectum, which turned out to be adenocarcinoma. Unfortunately, the cancer has spread to surrounding lymph nodes. In addition to further testing to complete the staging process, she will undergo 5 weeks of radiation, 8 cycles of chemotherapy, and potentially surgery. To complicate things further, she will need to undergo egg retrieval to preserve her fertility, as her treatment could impact her reproductive health.

As you can imagine, the physical and emotional toll of these treatments is immense. In addition, the financial burden is overwhelming. Between the cost of medical treatments, travel to and from appointments, missing work, and everyday living expenses, we are looking to raise funds to help Adeline during this difficult time. Although Adeline does have insurance through work, that won't cover everything. At this time, we are not sure about what the total costs will be, but I will provide updates as I know more. Every little bit helps, whether it’s a financial contribution or simply sharing her story.
