Support Ade Adeola Solomon's Urgent Medical Needs

Donation protected
My name is Ade Adeola Solomon, and I’m humbly reaching out to ask for your support during one of the most challenging times in my life.

I’ve been living with chronic Hepatitis B, and recently, my health has taken a worrying turn. I’ve started experiencing a constantly bloated stomach, rapid weight loss, and frequent diarrhea—symptoms that are new and deeply concerning.

These changes pushed me to return to the doctor, who advised that I urgently repeat several important tests to understand what’s happening.

There’s now a concern that my condition may have progressed, and I’ve been told to also undergo tumor marker tests to check for the possibility of liver cancer or other complications.

Tests I Need to Undergo to get a full picture of my current health, the following tests have been recommended:

-Liver Function Tests (LFTs)
-HBV DNA (Viral Load)
-Hepatitis B Surface Antigen (HBsAg)
-HBeAg and Anti-HBe Testing
-Liver Ultrasound or Fibroscan
-Alpha-Fetoprotein (AFP)
- Abdominal CT
- Complete Blood Count (CBC)
-Kidney Function Test

These are critical in helping my doctors assess the current state of my liver, check for possible condition of the liver, and plan the next steps for treatment and care.

Why I’m Asking for Help?

Unfortunately, the cost of these tests, consultations, and potential follow-up treatment is more than I can afford right now.

As someone facing financial hardship, I’m doing everything I can—but I simply can’t do it alone.

That’s why I’ve come here: to ask for your support in helping me get the medical attention I urgently need.

Your donation will go toward:

- Diagnostic tests and imaging
- Doctor’s visits and specialist consultations
- On medications (Tenoflovir 300mg)
- Hospital and transportation costs

Every Bit of Support Counts whether it’s a donation, a kind message, or sharing this campaign with others, every bit of support means the world to me right now.

I have a Professional Diploma (AS) in community health and B.Tech in Biological Science. In 2019, I was dismissed from my hospital job after I refused to perform a non-consensual circumcision on a 3-day-old baby boy. As someone who is firmly against genital mutilation, I could not compromise my ethical beliefs or medical responsibility to do no harm. I had never performed circumcision before and have remained committed to that stance. Unfortunately, my refusal led to being pushed out of the hospital system, where circumcision rates are 85-90%. This has made it difficult to secure employment with health benefits in the same field. Since then, I’ve been providing home-based care for elderly people as an alternative way to continue serving the community with integrity.

Things I’ve Achieved So Far as an Intactivist:

Street Campaigns: We’ve taken our message directly to the public — standing on sidewalks, holding signs, and starting conversations with strangers about the right to bodily autonomy.

⛪ Church Outreach: We've entered spaces where tradition often dominates, speaking truth with compassion and planting seeds of change in communities that rarely hear this message.

Raising Intact Children: We’ve broken the cycle in our own families by choosing to keep our children whole — protecting their right to choose for themselves when they’re old enough to understand.

️ Public Awareness: Via our public interview, We've made people stop, think, and ask questions. Even if just one parent chooses to keep their child intact after hearing from us, that’s a life changed forever.

My Long-Term Personal Desires:

- To help make genital autonomy the social norm, not the exception.
- To see laws enacted that give minors equal protection from non-consensual genital cutting, regardless of gender.
- To build a network of like-minded professionals (doctors, ethicists, activists) who collaborate on positive change.
- To develop educational campaigns that are compassionate and fact-based so the conversation shifts from anger to empathy.

My long term goals include moving to the US where education, work, healthcare and stability are more readily available.

Thank you for taking the time to read my story. I believe with your help, I can get through this, get answers, and take the steps needed to regain control of my health, and continue Intactivist efforts.

With deep gratitude,

Ade Adeola Solomon
