Addy was born with Osteogenesis Imperfecta. What is Osteogenesis Imperfecta? Known as brittle bone disease, it is a genetic disorder characterized by fragile bones that break easily and often with little or no apparent cause. Symptoms typically include frequent fractures, bone deformities, hearing loss, and weak, brittle teeth. There is no cure, but treatment can significantly improve the quality of life.

Addy has had surgeries to correct deformities and stabilize her bones. On September 2nd, she will be having spinal surgery to correct scoliosis. Her surgery is in Nebraska and will require her, along with her family, to travel there and stay for the surgery.
