Hello all.
It is with a very heavy heart that we are starting this fundraiser following the sudden and unexpected passing of Addison Taylor on Sunday, December 14, 2025 at 4:55 PM. Addison was deeply woven into the fabric of the LGBTQIA+ community, Orlando and especially the National Miss Comedy Queen Pageant. Their presence, care, and dedication will be profoundly missed. She was not only family to many of us, she was a friend, mentor, advocate, and supporter.
We are very thankful for HARMONY HEALTHCARE, one of Addison's employers, who have already stepped up and taken responsibility for the costs related to her final wishes and other related expenses of her cremation.
Many of you have asked, "How can I help?"
We are in the process of planning a wonderful celebration/party that will be VERY Addison, of course. It will most likely take place in February 2026 at Southern Nights Orlando. This will allow us all to come together to laugh, love, share, and yes, cry (but don't tell her that!). Once all the plans have been set, we will release that info with enough time for everyone to make plans to attend if they choose to do so.
This fund will pay for any and all expenses having to do with the celebration. We are also looking at paying the rent on her house through at least February or March. This will hopefully give us time to settle all of the affairs that we are able to. This will also allow for her roommates to save money to either move or find a new roommate. The monthly rent and bills for the home are approximately $2300 per month.
In the event that we raise more than necessary or plans change and we have a surplus, the remainder of the funds will be disbursed to the National Miss Comedy Queen Pageant Fund as a donation in her honor. Addison would have wanted the system to continue to flourish in her absence and she was never one to shy away from a donation or sponsorship. Make no mistake, the system is in good hands and we will continue on as normally as possible. It ia a part of her legacy and will be a celebration of the joy, laughter, and connection that Addison so strongly believed in.
Please donate if you are able, but if you can't, please help share and spread the word!
