Thank you all so much who have donated, shared, offered to make a meal….it means the world to both Natalie and myself. I had my spine surgery today. It went well, but with a couple little hiccups. The surgeon said he didn’t realize how bad it was until he cut and spread my muscles open to see the spine. He did have to do a lot of extra TLC to get it cleaned up and fixed. I am in a lot of pain, but I’m gonna keep on trucking! Again, thank you. If you aren’t able to donate, then a share, a meal, a DoorDash giftcard, or kind words are also just as valuable. Thank you.

My name is Addie, and I am a public school teacher, and very proud! I have worked since I was able to serve those around me in ways that they need it. This whole issue and needing surgery has completely thrown our entire household for a loop. Also I acknowledge and I’m grateful that my situation is not nearly as bad as others could be, it’s still miserable. And it doesn’t negate how much of a pain in the butt it is.

I started having pain in my back years ago, and I went through all of the therapy and the injections and the scans to try to minimize the pain. Over the last month and a half, I have been in the hospital three different times because the pain that I have my back now is so bad that I don’t have control or use of my right leg.

we learned that my L2 through SI discs are completely bulged, tearing tendon and muscle, right now my nerves are exposed, and they are bone on nerve .

The numbness is intermittent but the pain is constant. I am going to be out for at least the next four possibly five weeks of work, and Natalie, my partner, has already had to take off quite a bit of work because the daily functions of our house, driving me to and from appointments, and making sure that my well-being is taken care of as well as the well-being of our dogs has been very challenging. She gets no compensation for not being at work. We are stressed and stretched right. A share, inaction, or a sweet message would mean the world to me. The coats of the all the hospital visits, follow up appt, so many tests and medication are squeezing us dry.
