My name is Dr. Tamara Baroody, and I am trying to raise funds for my patient Addie, a beloved 9-year-old chocolate Lab mix who urgently needs upper cervical spinal disc surgery.

Addie has been with her family since she was just 12 weeks old after being rescued from a shelter. Since then, she has become an irreplaceable part of their family. She is incredibly loving, happiest when being pet by anyone, and full of adventure. Addie especially loves camping trips with her family and chasing every creature she can find outdoors.

Recently, Addie’s life changed suddenly and devastatingly. She began experiencing severe pain, crying out and yelping until pain medication finally gave her some relief. Her condition has now progressed to the point where she is completely unable to walk and all four of her legs are paralyzed.

This surgery is extremely urgent. Without treatment, Addie cannot return to the life she once loved or do the simple daily activities that brought her joy. In addition to the surgery itself, she will require extensive rehabilitation and physical therapy afterward to give her the best possible chance at recovery.

Despite everything she is going through, Addie is still the same sweet, loving dog who wants comfort, affection, and to be close to her family. They are devastated watching her suffer and are doing everything they can to help her heal, but the cost of surgery and rehabilitation has become overwhelming.

We are asking for any support possible to help give Addie a chance to walk again and enjoy life the way she used to. Every donation, no matter the amount, will go directly toward her surgery, rehabilitation, and recovery care.
