Support Addie's Fight Against Stage 3 Hodgkin’s Lymphoma

Hey friends, family, and compassionate internet strangers!

We’re rallying together for our favorite superhero in scrubs, Addie! This incredible 27-year-old nurse has spent her days taking care of others, but now she needs our help. Addie has been diagnosed with stage 3 Hodgkin’s Lymphoma, and she’s facing this fight with the same grit and grace she’s shown her patients.

It all started in September when Addie got a week-long fever, chills, night sweats, and aches accompanied by shortness of breath, severe exhaustion, and fatigue. Then a week later it returned, for a week. Then a week after that one it returned, again. And so on, she's lived with intermittent symptoms like this since September. For 3 months she went to multiple doctors and specialists until at the end of November a CT Scan of her chest suggested she had Lymphoma - we are grateful that an Intensive Care Physician at her hospital, who she was talking to during her shift, told her to get a scan of her chest.

The CT Scan diagnosis was confirmed through a biopsy. Then a PET Scan showed it to be Stage 3 Hodgkins Lymphoma. For the past 3 months, she's battled multiple instances of fevers, chills, aches, and fatigue without a clear answer of what was going on with her body. We are now hopeful because we have a diagnosis, a plan of action going forward, and a great team of doctors helping us through this.

Due to the intensity of the chemo regimen she'll be on, oncologists have strongly suggested she undergo fertility treatment to freeze some of her eggs in the chance that the chemo renders her infertile. Originally Addie wasn't going to due to the high cost of egg retrival and IVF services, but the oncologist called her when she found out and urged her further to. At the age of 27, Addie was scared of not being able to have kids of her own and decided to undergo the egg retrieval process for a greater chance of having a future family.

Egg retrieval, chemo, surgery, and let’s be honest, rent and groceries don’t come cheap! So far the total of the out-of-pocket bills is over $50,000.

To know Addie is to love Addie. Her kindness, light, laughter, and strange quirks mixed with Ryan’s patience, silliness, and overall cool dad energy make them more than deserving of the opportunity to become parents. Every dollar you donate will help cover her IVF (not covered by insurance), surgery (not covered by insurance), chemo treatments, and daily living expenses as she and Ryan focus on beating cancer.

We know times are tough, especially with the holidays right around the corner, so if you cannot donate, we would still love it if you could share her GoFundMe page with your friends and family.

If you would like to give Addie a little extra love there is also an Amazon Wish List linked below. Items on the wish list are to help make chemo treatments a little more comfortable for her.

Let’s show Addie she’s not alone in this fight—she’s got a whole team rooting for her and cheering her on!

Thank you for helping Addie kick cancer’s ass. Together, we can make miracles happen!
