Catherine is starting this fundraiser for Addison "Addi" Pryor, her beloved niece. At just 15 years old, Addi is facing recurrent osteosarcoma after already bravely fighting bone cancer once before. Addi and the Pryor family recently received the heartbreaking news that the cancer has returned, and now Addi must undergo a leg amputation as part of her continued fight. Along with this life-changing surgery, she is facing recovery, ongoing hospital visits, and the physical and emotional challenge of adjusting to a new way of life. Through it all, Addi has shown incredible strength and courage in the face of more than any young person should have to endure.

This journey is also placing a heavy burden on her family. Addi’s dad is the sole provider and will need to take time away from work to bring her to appointments and treatments, creating lost income during an already overwhelming time. Their home will also need significant modifications to support Addi’s mobility, safety, comfort, and independence as she recovers and learns to navigate daily life in a new way.
