It's time!!! The heart transplant team at Vanderbilt Heart Hospital in Nashville, TN says I'm at the top of the O blood type status 4 list. After 2 years of waiting, I'm ready. Can't say for sure when, but hopefully soon.

My biggest hurdle is getting caregivers to come from all over to help me after surgery. I'd like to pay for plane tickets and food. I have 15 people willing to come for 1 week at a time. This money will help with that, transportation to and from the hospital and airport in Uber. I also have a co-pay with an out-of-pocket maximum of $5,400.

Even though I am single, my community and support team make me feel very loved in a big family. If you can donate, I am grateful. If you cannot, I understand. Please send prayers for a successful open-heart surgery and a beautiful new heart.
