Hello, friends and supporters!

We are raising funds to provide access to IXL, a comprehensive and interactive online learning platform, for our special education students. These students face unique challenges in their learning journey, and having personalized, adaptive tools like IXL provides the ability to bridge gaps in learning through tailored lessons in math, language arts, science, and social studies that adjust to each student's level, allowing them to learn at their own pace.

In addition to offering self-paced, competency-based practice, the platform’s engaging, multi-sensory activities are especially beneficial for students with special needs, providing targeted practice and instant feedback that will boost their motivation and build confidence.

I have used IXL for more than five years to support IEP (Individualized Education Plan) goals in my teaching practice. This has allowed me not only to help students achieve their identified educational goals, but also to address newly identified misconceptions or learning gaps that are not included in their IEPs and may not be addressed in the general classroom setting. This targeted support helps students exceed their IEP goals, reinforces newly learned skills, and boosts student morale as they observe their growth in real time—building the confidence needed to learn new concepts.

Unfortunately, this program is not currently covered within our school budget to purchase licences, and in the past I worked at a school that did have it, or I covered it with my own funds. That is not something I can continue to do without attempting to raise funds to help cover some of the cost.
