Hi, my name is Adan Allen, and I’m a sophomore at EBIA. I’m honored to have been selected as the 2025 Congressional App Challenge winner for California’s 12th District, hosted by Representative Lateefah Simon. I won for my app “StayReady,” which helps people in Alameda County determine their risk for natural disasters and provides guidance on how to prepare for them.

I’m raising funds to attend #HouseOfCode in Washington, D.C. on April 21–22, 2026 — a national event where App Challenge winners showcase their work, meet their members of Congress, learn from technology leaders, and connect with other young innovators. The funds will help cover travel and lodging expenses for me and my parent, who must accompany me.
